How many beach chairs should your house rent?
Start with the largest group that is likely to go to the beach together, then add shared gear based on walking distance, shade needs, and the length of the stay.
Count beachgoers, not beds
Bedrooms and maximum occupancy can overstate the number of people heading to the beach at once. Ask who expects to join a typical beach day and reserve one adult chair for each adult who wants a seat.
Add a small buffer carefully
One spare chair can help when guests rotate through the house, but a large buffer creates storage and carrying work. Adjust quantities in the cart before submitting the request.
Plan shared shade
A traditional umbrella usually serves a smaller seating group. A wind-powered shade can cover a broader group when conditions and beach rules allow it.
Pair chairs with carrying gear
For larger groups or longer walks, add a wagon and shared cooler. The most useful setup is the one the group can move from the house or car safely.
