Pre-Arrival Guide
What your Hamptons beach house actually needs.
Plan around people, beach access, and the length of your stay. Rent bulky equipment locally, bring personal essentials, and avoid filling the car with gear you will use for only a few days.
Rent for the house
Start with one chair per guest. Add shared shade, a hard cooler, and at least one wagon for larger groups. Choose boogie boards for wave days and paddle boards only for suitable conditions and responsible users.
Bring from home
Pack swimsuits, towels, sunscreen, refillable water bottles, hats, footwear, medications, and personal flotation devices appropriate for your plans.
Check before arrival
Confirm beach parking permits, seasonal lifeguards, house access instructions, fire rules, and whether your rental property already supplies towels or smaller beach items.
For longer stays
Weekly or monthly gear rental keeps a consistent setup at the house. Store equipment securely, rinse salt and sand when appropriate, and return all items to the confirmed pickup location.
